Founded in 1993, The Non-Violence Project Foundation is dedicated to promoting non-violence worldwide through education and awareness.
Born in the slums of Uganda, it now operates globally to inspire, motivate, and engage young people in understanding how to resolve conflicts peacefully.

I was approached by Creatives Without Boarders to create a campaign for them, to shape a visual language the non-profit could adopt to express their core messages and help creating the feeling of belonging across the youth community.
"No brief.
No budget."
Just the the will to make a positive impact for a young community where youth violence has been an overwhelming problem for many years.

The idea was to offer a versatile visual language the community could own and spread in the real world and environment.
I stepped away from refined digital designs and created something that could easily spread. Street language, stencils, guerrilla communication. Easy to replicate with accessible tools and DIY art.
The result was a language native to the community that they felt proud to share and spread.
